Our version is Region Free. Don't mistaken it for a cheaper Region A/1 model sold elsewhere. Just because it's small doesn't mean it doesn't have the bells and whistles of a larger Blu-ray player. The Region Free PAL/NTSC BDP-SX1000 offers an Ethernet port so you can connect to an internet connection to take advantage of Blu-ray disc extras with BD Live. By downloading additional content from the internet, you can access interactive quizzes, games, even filmmaker chats related to the Blu-ray movie you're watching. It also plays CDs, CD-R and CD-RW so you can enjoy discs you burned yourself. If you have home movies shot with a camcorder and burned to a disc, you can play those too. Since it also has a USB port, you'll have even more options. That means you can connect a USB memory drive, memory card reader, digital camera or camcorder to the USB port to enjoy your photos, videos, and music.
